1. Information we collect
Information you provide. When you buy the Book, subscribe to The Quiet Letter, or contact us, we collect what you submit — typically your name and email address, and, where applicable, billing details handled by our payment processor.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we receive standard log data when you visit (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, timestamps). We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, remember preferences, and measure how the Site is used.
Information from third parties. Our payment processor confirms transactions and provides limited transaction data (the last four digits of your card, billing country, etc.). We do not receive or store full card numbers.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- deliver the Book and any associated bonuses;
- process payments and prevent fraud;
- send you the email newsletter you subscribed to;
- respond to support requests;
- understand how the Site is used and improve it;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies and analytics tools to understand traffic and improve the Site. You can disable cookies in your browser; some Site features may not work as intended without them.
4. How we share information
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business — including our payment processor, email service provider, and hosting provider — and only the minimum needed to provide their service. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a corporate transaction (merger, sale, or similar).
5. Data retention
We keep purchase records as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (typically several years). We keep newsletter subscriber data until you unsubscribe, and for a short period after.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. You can exercise most of these rights by writing to the address below. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a US state with a comprehensive privacy law (such as California), additional rights may apply.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country.
9. Children
The Site and the Book are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the "Effective date" above will be revised. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Site.
